  • 2025 Yearbook invitation
    2024-04-09

We cordially invite representatives of all Polish studies disciplines to publish in the Yearbook of the Institute of Polish Philology of the University of Zielona Góra. The topic of the issue is: Language in politics. The experience of recent years shows that the political "world" has a very decisive influence on the language we use in everyday life, in journalism, in various debates, and then it also becomes an element of literature. Language is a basic cultural good, which is why the phenomenon described here demands it appropriate reflection, which can be generally summarized by the proposed slogan: language in politics.
The planned release date of the issue is the end of 2025.

    2022-12-21

We cordially invite representatives of all Polish philology disciplines to publish in The Yearbook of the Institute of Polish Philology of the University of Zielona Góra. The theme of the issue is (Auto)biographies. We intend to focus on two genres: autobiography and biography, and to trace several important problems resulting, among others, from the blurring of the boundaries between fiction and non-fiction. Our interest in these forms results from their unflagging popularity on the publishing market in Poland for many years, as well as from the fact that they can provoke numerous discussions and disputes. The planned publication date of the issue is the end of 2024.

    2020-12-01

We cordially invite you to publish in the Yearbook of the Institute of Polish Philology of the University of Zielona Góra. The subject of reflection for the issue, which — as we plan — will be published at the end of 2022, is to make useable testimonies of education and its literary descriptions. The essence of education is change: transferring not only knowledge and skills, but also values, attitudes, ideas and worldviews. We are convinced that it determines the personal, civilization and cultural development of the next generations, so it is worth taking a scientific reflection on it.

    2020-04-23

In 2021, another, seventh, issue of the "Filologia Polska" will be published - the journal of the Institute of Polish Philology of the University of Zielona Góra, which since 2015 has been published in a new, changed format. An important priority that we adopted when developing the magazine's formula is to combine the best traditions of Polish studies in Zielona Góra with the latest fields of study in the field of linguistics and literary studies. We want to actively engage in the exchange of philological ideas, and also - to feed contemporary humanities with reflection arising from research conducted, among others by scientists from Lubuskie. One of them was Professor Czesław P. Dutka, founder and longtime head of the IFP Department of Literary Theory, who left us on January 10, 2020. We dedicate to his memory next year's volume.

The proposed topic for the volume: The theory of 'applied literature' by Stefania Skwarczyńska in philological research (1). We would like to make a separate, second segment of the issue a collection of studies devoted to contemporary popular literature, and here we expect materials focusing on such slogans as continuations - transformations - inspirations (2).
