About the Journal
"Filologia Polska"—as a series in two different formulas—is hundreds of pages of studies and dozens of analyses; it attracted many authors—intellectuals from local communities and representatives of other research centers from Poland and abroad. The title of the periodical that has been suggested indicates the tradition to which we decided to refer (thus emphasizing continuity); it also indicates an evolutionary change that is a specific sign of the times. The Yearbook shape of "Polish Philology" is a result of the introduced and still ongoing reforms in higher education and the currently used standardization systems. May this spirit of change have a positive impact on the world of science—on the people who create it, development trends, and, most importantly, research effects. We would like each subsequent volume of the journal to present a series of studies rather than a multi-author monograph.
Structure of The Yearbook's issues
Each Yearbook issue consists of several parts.
"Studies and materials”
The "Studies and materials" section is the main part of each issue of "Filologia Polska"and, depending on the submitted articles, is divided into smaller chapters.
Permanent sections: "Regionalia”, "Varia”, "Obszary trzecie”
"Regionalia”
We cordially extend an invitation to submit an article for consideration in this section of the magazine, which will be devoted to the region as a whole in literary and cultural studies. Studies and dissertations on topics such as new regionalism, geocritics, cultural geography, geopoetics, as well as the borderlands of culture, cross-border interactions, central-periphery relations, and regional identity are of particular interest to us.
"Varia”
We want to publish testimonies of current activities and scientific discussions in the part that compiles various items in the form of, for example, reviews, reports, and reports, polemics, announcements, short contributions, etc. Along with reprints or translations, the area will also provide lists or catalogs (such as bibliographic ones).
"Obszary trzecie"
Works devoted to popular literature, partially literary phenomena (songs, comics, computer games), and applied literature can be found in the "Third regions" section (songbooks, dream books, prayer books).
This journal publishes articles in the areas of literary studies, linguistics, and cultural studies. Although the majority of the articles published in this magazine are in Polish, it is available to researchers of cultural phenomena from other language groups.
